Les boites jaune et rouge sont apparues en décembre 1959 comme essai de marketing. 70 modèles ont reçu ce type de boite. En août 1960, moins de 12 mois après leur lancement, Meccano revient à l'ancien style avec une image du modèle dans les couleurs disponibles sur deux cotés opposés de la boite. On ne peut que présumer que ce type de boite n'a pas plu au consommateur bien que ça ait probablement été un emballage moins cher. |
The red and yellow plain printed boxes (alternating red
and yellow sides) were introduced in December 1959 as a marketing experiment.
A total of 70 models received this type of box. By August 1960, less than
12 months after its introduction, Meccano reverted to the old style with
a picture of the model on two side panels in the available colour schemes.
One can only assume that the box style did not go down well with consumers
even though it was perhaps a cheaper method of packaging. |
